Weekly Reset
Checklist
10 minutes to close out the week with intention — so you can actually start fresh next one.
This isn’t about doing more — it’s about closing the loop on what’s already happened so you’re not dragging last week’s weight into the next one. Go through these in order, take your time.
Clear the Inboxes
~2 min
Process email to zero — or a manageable state.
Reply, archive, flag, delete. Don’t leave things open with no decision made.
Clear DMs, voice messages, or platform notifications that need a response.
Send any follow-ups you’ve been putting off.
If it takes less than 2 minutes, do it now.
Close Open Loops
~2 min
Review your task list — mark what got done, move what didn’t.
No guilt. Did it not happen, or does it no longer need to?
Capture any loose ideas or “I should do that” thoughts still floating in your head.
Update any client projects or deliverables with current status.
Look at the Week Ahead
~2 min
Review your calendar for the coming week — no surprises allowed.
Identify your top 3 priorities for next week.
Three max. Everything else is secondary.
Block time for focused work — at least one protected block per day.
Note anything you need to prepare, send, or decide before Monday.
Tidy Your Workspace
~2 min
Clear your desktop or downloads folder of anything that piled up.
File or delete documents, drafts, or assets that are done.
Close browser tabs you’ve been “saving for later” — decide now or let them go.
One Honest Look Back
~2 min
Name one thing that worked well this week.
Big or small. It counts.
Name one thing that drained you — and whether it’s changeable.
Give yourself credit for something you did this week that you didn’t acknowledge.
